And of course there’s plenty to enjoy inside! Some of our booking deadlines are coming up soon, so please do book up to make sure you don’t miss out.

And talking of not missing out, Thursday Night is Games Night is ON again this week. So we thought we’d send out the newsletter early just to remind you! Why not pop on down to the Club for a fun social evening, with plenty of games, bar sports and fantastic offers on selected drinks. And if that wasn’t enough… Chef is back with his pop-up pizza! So, that’s supper, drinks and games sorted!

Meanwhile on to this week’s news.

Croquet Charity Tournament

April is not the most reliable month to start a Croquet Season, but our croquet players arranged, through our member Stephen Mills, a heat of the Croquet Association’s Charity One Ball Competition on Wednesday 3rd April.
A hardy 13 contestants braved the wind to start the ‘Knock Out Competition’ at 11am. The lawns looked great, although flooded in places which resulted in some creative shots and very muddy “whites”.
Following a picnic lunch, competition hotted up with a fierce afternoon of play. Mike Garratt won the final against Stephen Mills, a close finish and received the Trophy from Richard Everett. Our players raised £155 for British Heart Foundation. And although windswept, managed not to get wet!

If you fancy taking up or trying out croquet, why not pop into one of the social sessions? More information on the notice board, from our players or via the office.
