Welcome to our club

Tennis

With 16 grass tennis courts and 8 all-weather courts our club has some of the best facilities in the area.

Between October and March two of our hard courts are covered by our famous “bubble” allowing indoor play during the day and under floodlights.

During the year we hold a number of fun events and competitive tournaments where we welcome members and their guests to join in the fun.

Gym & Fitness classes

Our refurbished Gym-space has now been equipped with superb state-of-the-art Technogym Equipment and new members are welcome.

A wide range of group fitness-classes are also available. These take place outside, in or around the pool and on our lawns, or inside the building in our Gym Studio or Main Hall. Every day there are at least two classes to choose from. There’s something for everyone and AAA’s and Gym-U’s can book any classes for FREE!

Swimming

Our heated swimming pool is open from May to September. During the peak summer months we have lifeguards on duty and a range of swimming times for children.

We have a special membership offer for children who only wish to swim.

Squash & Racketball

We offer group and individual lessons, as well as holiday camps.

With two indoor, lit and heated squash courts, we have great facilities for Members.

We offer an extensive coaching programme catering for players of all ages and abilities.

Croquet

Croquet is back at the Frinton-on-Sea Lawn Tennis Club.

Have you played croquet before? Do you fancy learning to play?

Frinton-on-Sea Lawn Tennis Club has a new, purpose built croquet lawn. We are a welcoming croquet club keen to recruit new players.

Our membership covers all ages and abilities. Croquet can be played to a high standard by those who are not as active as they once were!

News from James Max our chairman

James took over as Chairman in August 2018 and has been a member of the Club since forever. Learning how to swim in the pool and play tennis in the 1970’s, he and his family have been active Members of the Club for 50 years.

Away from the Club, James is a broadcaster, columnist and business advisor. He presents Early Breakfast every weekday on TalkTV and is a regular panelist on The Talk. He’s a columnist for the Financial Times and Spectator and is a regular on The Jeremy Vine Show on Channel 5. Away from broadcast media, James is Chair of the M7 Regional E-Warehouse REIT PLC, an advisor to Stanhope PLC and a Vice President and trustee of the Royal Albert Hall.

Our BANGS bar is fully licensed and offers a wide range of beer, lager, wine, fizz, gin and other spirits, all at competitive prices.

Our Clubhouse, Poolside Kitchen and events catering provides options for all dietary requirements, international tastes and seasonal flavours too. We use the freshest ingredients sourced from our local butcher, baker and greengrocers. All prepared and cooked on the premises. We hope that you’ll have a memorable and fun experience whether you’re a Member, guest or visitor to our spectacular thatched clubhouse.
