Hospitality & Membership Coordinator (30 hours / week)

Job Description

Under the direction of the Wedding and Events Manager, assist with the successful delivery of functions and events at the Club, with particular responsibility for all aspects relating to food service.

Key responsibilities of this varied role will include but are not limited to the following:

– Collate plan and forecast food orders for club events, club food services and other functions

– Manage, lead and supervise members of the food service team

– Prepare food service team rotas

– Plan, organise and action table lay up for food services including crockery, cutlery, glassware and any other food

service-related items

– Assist the Wedding and Events Manager with room set clear downs for all event types ensuring they are carried

out to a high standard

– Serve and clear at all events

– Organise the maintenance and cleaning of the ballroom, registrar’s room and other areas relating to events

– Ensure high standards of cleanliness and appearance of all front and back of house facilities are maintained

– Ensure an exceptional customer experience for all guests

– Maintain high standards of Health and Safety / Food Safety

– Work closely with all club departments and contracted suppliers

– Attend weekly staff and catering planning meetings

– Responsible for ordering and leasing with our linen suppliers

– Assist the Wedding and Events Manager in their day to day tasks as required

– Provide cover for the Wedding and Events Manager in their absence

– Assist with bar service where needed

– Any other reasonable tasks as required

Desirable Experience and Skills:

– Previous experience in food and beverage services

– Basic literacy, numeracy and ICT skills

– Good organisational and time-management skills

– Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills

– The ability to empower and lead a team

– Ability to build relationships and promote a positive work environment

– Knowledge and understanding of health and safety in the workplace

Membership Co-ordinator

Under the direction of the Club Manager, assist with membership duties to include:

– Contact lapsed and cancelled members to discover reasons for leaving

– Contact current members to ensure all contact details are correct

– Assist Club Manager with membership on Open Days

– Other membership tasks as and when necessary

All Training will be provided on the job.

Contracted Hours: 30 Hours per week.

Salary: £16,600 – 17,000
