Marketing Manager

Role Overview: As the Marketing Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in promoting our club, engaging members, attracting new players, and promoting our hall hire and wedding facilities. You’ll work closely with our teams to enhance our brand presence and drive membership growth.

Part-time or full-time job (£17,000 -£24,000 per annum)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute marketing strategies to increase club visibility.

• Manage social media channels (Facebook, Instagram) and create engaging content.

• Coordinate email marketing campaigns, segmenting lists for targeted communication.

• Maintain the club websites (fosltc.com and frinton-venue.com), ensuring up-to-date information and appealing visuals.

• Collaborate with coaches, event organizers, and other stakeholders.

• Monitor analytics to optimise performance and track campaign effectiveness.

• Support internal tournaments, events, and promotions.

• Liaise with suppliers for merchandising and promotional materials.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of proven experience in marketing, preferably in sports.

• Strong digital marketing skills (social media, email campaigns, SEO, website development and management).

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Passion for sports and community engagement.

Website Management

Designing Web Graphics and Banners: Create visually appealing graphics and banners for the website.

Writing Copy: Craft compelling and informative content for web pages.

Creating and Updating Web Pages: Design, create, and keep our web pages up-to-date.

Analysing User Behaviour: Use tools like Google Analytics and Webmaster to understand user behaviour and feedback.

SEO Optimisation: Implement SEO strategies to improve website visibility.

Tracking Codes: Install and manage tracking codes for marketing channels.

Publishing Blog Posts: Regularly publish engaging blog content, reviews, and other up-to-date information.

Maintaining Events Calendar: Update the events page and online calendar.

Overall Maintenance: Ensure the website runs smoothly and fix any issues.

Supporting Events Team: Assist with digital tasks related to events.

Online Store

Product Management: Create new products and categories.

Content Updates: Keep content, stock, and pricing information current.

Online Store Management: Source images, write copy, and manage refunds.

Customer Reach: Implement strategies to reach potential customers and boost sales.

Social Media (Facebook and Instagram)

Content Creation: Post relevant and engaging content.

Audience Interaction: Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and reviews.

Event Promotion: Schedule and create events.

Paid Advertising: Manage and optimize paid campaigns.

Analytics: Analyse performance using tools like Google Analytics and Facebook Insights.

Collaboration: Work with coaches and sport representatives to align social media strategy.

Email Marketing

Designing Templates: Create visually appealing email templates.

Content Updates: Keep email content and links current.

List Management: Maintain customer lists.

Testing and Optimisation: Optimize email campaigns for effectiveness.

Segmentation: Segment email lists based on demographics, interests, and behaviour.

Offline Activities

Print Advertising: Write copy and work with suppliers.

Welcome Packs: Create and update welcome materials.

Information Dissemination: Ensure new members have the necessary club information.

Signage and Marketing Boards: Design and maintain physical marketing materials.

PR: Liaising with publishers, providing them with news articles promoting our Club and events.

Tournaments

Email Marketing: Manage email campaigns and website pages related to tournaments.

Social Media Promotion: Create and manage social media content.

Banners and Leaflets: Design promotional materials.

News Articles and Web Pages: Create dedicated web content.

Working with 3rd Party Coaching Providers

Gather Information: Collect data and images.

Create Posters and Events Pages: Promote coaching services.

Manage Social Media: Handle social media promotion.

Merchandising

Product Development: Help create new product lines.

Pricing and Promotions: Set pricing and create special deals.

Supplier Communication: Liaise with suppliers.

Data Analysis: Analyse sales data and customer feedback.
