Finance Manager

Overview
We are seeking a Finance Manager who will be responsible for managing all finance-related activities at the Club, ensuring accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with statutory requirements.

The role is 15 hours per week over 2 days.

Annual Salary: £11,500

Responsibilities

  • Process into Sage after month-end all invoices, receipts, petty cash, wages, reconcile bank account
  • Process daily takings
  • Organize payment of all invoices including set up of direct debits, standing orders, bank transfers
  • Prepare bank reconciliations
  • Weekly Banking
  • Produce monthly management accounts
  • Produce monthly finance report
  • Prepare annual financial accounts for 2 companies and consolidated inc. spreadsheets, Sage file and stocktakes ready for audit
  • Prepare annual tax returns
  • Manage VAT including partial exemption calculation quarterly and annual partial exemption calculation
  • Assist Club Manager as required

Requirements

  • At least AAT Level 3 qualification required
  • At least 5 years accounting/bookkeeping experience required
  • SAGE experience required
  • Excel experience required
  • VAT experience inc. preparation and submission of returns preferred
  • Preparation of annual accounts experience preferred
  • Attention to detail
  • Good communicator
  • Good team player
