Points

Each match consists of 6 sets. Points are awarded based on the result of the match (3 points for a win or 1 point each for a draw). In addition, both teams can win bonus points:

If the winning team wins all six sets it will receive 1 extra bonus point.

Both teams will be awarded 1 point per set that they win.

Any team that wins a set 6-0 will be awarded a bonus point for every set with this scoreline.

Example 1 – team A wins 4:2 with the following set scores 6:1, 6:1, 6:2, 6:3, 0:6, 0:6, Team A scores 7 points (3 for the win plus 4 bonus points) and Team B scores 4 points.

Example 2 – team A ties with team B with the following set scores 6:1, 6:2, 6:3, 1:6, 0:6, 0:6. Team A scores 4 points (1 for the tie and 3 bonus points) and Team B scores 6 points (1 for the tie and 5 bonus points).

Example 3 – in the unlikely event that team A beats team B 6:0 and all six sets are 6:0. Team A scores 16 points (3 for the win plus 13 bonus points).

Scores will need to be sent to David Binns by WhatsApp or SMS by 12 noon on the Monday following each match.
