Hello!

Oh my, it’s December already. What? You haven’t booked in for one of our Christmas parties yet? QUICK! Book now – they are seriously good fun, Chef pulls out all the stops and you’ll have a great night! Please bring friends, family, fellow Club Members or others along. All are welcome! And our party nights are a really good way to get into the festive spirit! They are taking place on Friday 9th, Saturday 10th, Friday 16th and Saturday 17th December. 

With that in mind our Club Festive Sunday Lunch is getting very booked up too. That’s on Sunday 18th December – in the ballroom with lunch being served at 1pm. Book NOW HERE!

New Year’s Eve Party

And finally, on the party front, we have our fantastic New Year’s Eve Dinner and Dancing! Last year really was a lot of fun. Of course, Chef and his team have put a delicious menu together and our resident DJ will be spinning the wheels of steel! Christmas Trees

The Club looks fantastic! Our thanks must go again to the amazing Alex Robson at King of Soho Gin for sponsoring our trees once again. If you’ve not tried their gin, please do so. It’s available at the bar. Or if you want to buy a bottle or two for friends… www.spiritofsoho.com is where you go! 

Mince Pie and Mulled Wine Tennis Tournament

It’s not too late to get involved! It’s THIS SATURDAY (tomorrow!) at 10.30am. Yes, I will be playing so if I can? You can too… why not join in for what should be a fun tournament with a few festive treats thrown in. Festive gear is welcome and there will be a few random prizes handed out too. It all starts at 10.30am on Saturday and should be wrapped up by 2.30pm. 

Players will be served mulled wine and homemade mince pies will be available too! There’ll be a prize for the player in the best Christmas outfit.

More Tennis News

New social sessions on Wednesday evening!

Free to all Tennis and AAA Members! Get to know new members and enjoy some non-competitive match play by taking part in our club tennis sessions.

Each session is 90 min long and gives players the chance to pitch up and play doubles with other Club members. Everyone is welcome to join!

These are the times for Club tennis

Tuesday 12 noon

NEW – Wednesday 7:30pm (starting Jan 2023)

Saturday 3pm

Followed by drinks in the bar! Weather is not an issue, the bubble is booked throughout the winter!

Don’t forget about our end of term Junior Tennis Tournament! The next one will be happening on Saturday the 17th December! Email Pete for more info, it should be fun!

Football World Cup

On Sunday 4th December England will be playing Senegal. We’ll have it on in the bar and will stay open… if there’s enough demand from YOU. If you’d like us to extend the bar opening hours, please can you get in touch with Rebecca ASAP – email Rebecca@fosltc.com

Please note that these rules will now also apply to the Table Tennis Tables and darts too. 

Racketball

It’s a fun game, played on squash courts and if you’re intrigued to see what it’s all about and would like a FREE taster session? Just turn up on Tuesday 6th December from 6 – 7.30pm. All necessary equipment supplied… just arrive in sporting gear with a pair of suitable indoor trainer shoes and you’re done! All Members are welcome. We hope to see you on Tuesday!

Gym

Are looking to stay trim, get lean, lose fat, add muscle, or just to be generally healthier? Our custom fitness and training plans can help get you there! And yes, we are aware that there’s the small matter of the festive period to navigate and that’s why we are planning ahead after you’ve finished scoffing and troughing! We have a plan for you!

We are organising a gym open day on Saturday 14th January! Please spread the word. We are a friendly and local gym with a welcoming atmosphere. Everyone is welcome to join! We will provide you with some more information about the event and what we have planned in the coming weeks.
