Storm Amy is on the way. Batten down those hatches. Not a euphemism. The nights may be shortening and Autumn is well underway. However there’s plenty to keep you busy at the Club.
Since we’re here, one of the last events I’ll host as your Club chair is for our bingo and pie night! It’s on Friday 10th October and we’ll have prizes, banging tunes and pies! All the details on how to book are set out below. So please do book up and come along. It should be a fun night.
And just to highlight one of the Literary Festival events taking place at the Club. On Saturday 22nd November the broadcaster and author Iain Dale will be coming to the Club. It’s dinner and a chat. With me! Iain and I worked together at LBC. He’s a class act. Very entertaining, incisive and what he doesn’t know about the news agenda, our current politics or all the inside scoop isn’t worth knowing. Details are set out below.

Gym Open Day | Saturday 4th October
TOMORROW our gym officially opens its doors for you to view our NEW equipment! It’s bang up to date. All brand new. Top of the range. Dare I say it’s gymtastic? Don’t just take my word for it, our team will be around from 11am – 3pm to showcase our new equipment, talk you through our membership options and answer any questions you may have.
Plus, if you’re a current member and you bring a family member or friend and they sign up, you both get £30 back onto your swipe card. Boom! Pop in and take a look for yourselves.
Club AGM
Members will have received communication yesterday with details for our upcoming AGM on Friday 17th October including the nomination procedure. Please note, only Club members can attend the AGM. If you didn’t receive this communication, please email Kim. Kim@fosltc.com for all the details.
Social & Group Tennis!
After the massive success of the Tennis schedule introduced back in April, we have created a revised version ready for the winter months. The new schedule can be viewed HERE. It’s great fun, very social and caters for a range of playing standards. For any queries, please email tennis@fosltc.com
Sunday Lunch | Sunday 19th October
Our first Sunday lunch went down a treat! But don’t worry, we have another. Our next Roast Sunday Lunch will be served on Sunday 19th October. Bookings are already open HERE. Bookings close at midnight 17th October. We hope you can join us!
Christmas | Party Dates and Plans
Blimey! It’s less than 100 days to go until Santa returns. And our events are planned and ready for booking. We’ve got plenty going on during December from Wreath Making, Kids’ Disco, Parties, Lunches and of course Carols! And probably some canapés.
