Hello!

With this sunny autumnal weather, there’s nothing better than a walk to the pub. If you have a dog? Call it a dog walk. If you don’t, it’s just a walk. Either way you’ll be very welcome as we have our inaugural Frinton Links and FOSLTC (dog) walk to the pub! Meeting at Frinton Links Golf Club, we’ll walk across the fields to The Ship Inn in Great Holland and return to the Tennis Club. Remembering that dogs are welcome at both Clubs but not inside, so please dress appropriately! We’ll gather from 2pm on Saturday (11th Oct) at Frinton Links on their veranda and depart at 2.45pm… Do join us. If you have a dog? Please bring them along. If you don’t? Just bring yourself. All welcome!

Worth mentioning that our Gym Open Day was a super success. Held to mark the installation of our brand new gym equipment. If you’re interested in finding our more, please do enquire at the office. Meantime a huge thanks to Katy, our Gym manager, and to Gavin Downing and Clive Allenby for negotiating the new deal and for organising the installation along with Jess and Rebecca. Gym details can be found HERE

AGM | Friday 17th October

Applications to stand for election are now closed. Members will be notified early next week on our plans for the evening.

Next Friday, 17th October, sees the Club’s AGM. Doors open at 6pm. The meeting commences at 6.30pm. For Members, we’ll be sending out information, voting details and instructions early next week. If you’re planning to attend, please email Jess on events@fosltc.com so we can cater for numbers – canapés will be served after the meeting!

With a number of our Board stepping down (including myself) it’s a good time to reflect on our progress and to plan for the future. Your vote counts!

Meantime, let’s get to the rest of this week’s news!
