Hello! 

Ok, so this week’s weather was rather miserable. And whilst it may have impacted play at our LTA Grade 1 Tournament, we have battled through. Seeing some incredible matches played on both the grass and hard courts. If you have been down to watch, we’re certain you’ll have been impressed by the incredibly high standard of competition and hopefully proud of our amazing Club and the terrific job undertaken by the LTA Tournament team and our very hard working staff at the bar, in the office and the Poolside Kitchen. Not to mention the huge efforts by our grounds team to ensure our courts are playable and at their very best. It’s a massive team effort and a huge thank you to all. Back to the weather, it’s looking better for next week so we really hope you’ll book your courts and come on down to play! 

Big news. Pizza is back! You’ve told us how delicious it is. We and Chef have heard you and we have a summer schedule in place. All the dates are listed on the events pages of the website. Yes, for our ‘Thursday Night is Games Night’ which returns next week there’s pizza and (weather permitting) badminton too! With half-price on selected drinks and a wide array of games to enjoy – from table tennis, darts, and pool, to cards and board games, and more. Do make a trip down to the Club. After all, it’s a lot of fun and fantastic value too! Enjoy. 

Meanwhile, our Poolside Kitchen late-night Fridays are in full swing. Today the Poolside Kitchen will be open until 9pm, so why not enjoy delicious Clubhouse Burger, or my personal favourite (the absolute banger that is) the Chicken Burger or a tasty salad? Next Friday, bonsoir! Nomanomnomnom. Chef will be serving Steak & Frites! Whilst other menu items will be available too. If you want to guarantee your order? Pre-ordering is essential HERE.

Our Ladies B will be playing The Officers’ Club – I’m sure it will be a lovely evening, watching some good tennis whilst enjoying a tasty supper from our Poolside Kitchen.

Father’s Day Lunch | Sunday 16th June

Father’s Day is approaching, and if you haven’t made plans yet, we invite you to join us at the Club for a special Sunday Lunch celebration. We will be serving a delicious two-course lunch: Roast Chicken, Roast Rump of Beef, Big Daddy Roast (Roast Roast Beef, Roast Pork, Roast Chicken) or Somerset Brie and Leek Wellington with some delicious puds too. Quiz & Curry Night | Friday 21st June 

This will be a great opportunity to test your knowledge and enjoy some delicious food. Get your friends, form a team of up to 10, and prepare to put your knowledge to the test. Celebratory Dinner Dance | Saturday 13th July

Wimbledon Whites Tennis Tournament | Sunday, 14th July

Our special tournament is accompanied by Pimm’s, of course! We will once again enjoy playing tennis, wearing tennis whites and watching the finals at the Clubhouse. It’s always more fun to enjoy this special day with fellow tennis enthusiasts. Non-members are welcome to play, please book your space online HERE.

Squash Junior Drop-In Sessions | Saturdays 10 – 10:45 AM

Looking for a Saturday morning activity for your little one? Why not try our drop-in sessions? They’re perfect for those who are busy and prefer not to commit long-term.

Social Sessions

Get to know new members and enjoy some non-competitive match play by taking part in our Club sports sessions. Each session is about 90 min long and gives players the chance to pitch up and play doubles with other Club members. Everyone is welcome to join!

Tennis Club sessions: Tuesdays 12 noon, Wednesdays 7:30pm, Saturdays 3pm, Sunday 10am

Junior Tennis Sessions U11: Saturdays 2pm 

Squash Club sessions: Mondays and Thursdays 6pm – 7pm

Croquet Club sessions: Wednesdays 3pm, Saturdays 11am

Walking Football: Monday 2-3.30pm, Wednesday 7-8.30pm
