Hello!

As we head towards New Year’s Eve, a huge thank you to our amazing Bar, Events and Catering teams. Our Festive Parties have been some of the best attended in recent years with delicious dinners and lunches served and a very busy time in the Bar – all our amazing staff have gone over and above to make sure we have been able to enjoy some wonderful events at our Club. It’s a huge effort to design the parties and menus, to market them and sell tickets, to organise all the preparations to make sure they go to plan and most importantly that you have a good time! Thanks must go to our bar manager Mark, and his team Mel and Jonathan. Chef Paul and his wonderful staff. Our events manager Georgia and Hannah our hospitality coordinator and all their helpers. To Kat our Marketing Manager and our Club Manager Kim who has once again gone over and above to keep us on an even keel. Thanks also must go to our resident DJ, Andrew, who is back for our New Year’s Eve party. And we must give a huge thanks to Caryll Newnham and JD Collins for hosting Carols with Caryll. It was the best attended we’ve ever held. Alongside the amazing solo performances, some rather tasty canapés and drawing our raffle – it made for a very fun and special evening at the Club. Thanks to all of our amazing team for all their hard work. And thank you, to all our Members and guests who have joined us over the festive season!

Talking of the raffle, a huge thanks to Soozi, Rosy and the fundraising team who came up with the idea for the raffle. And well done to Charlotte my helper for the evening too! It raised over £1000 and they’ll be presenting some ideas for how to make best use of the funds. We’ll let you know what they suggest! Georgia will be in touch if you’ve won a prize or just pop down to the office to collect. There were quite a few! And thanks to those who bought tickets and donated prizes.

General Meeting

As you’ll know we have a general meeting of the Club at 6.30 pm on Friday 12th January at the McGrigor Hall. If you are a Member of the Club and have not received any formal communications on this, please get in touch with Kim kim@fosltc.com to ensure you receive all the relevant information. We expect to communicate further details very soon.

New Year’s Eve Party

Join us at the Club for a New Year’s Eve celebration. There are no more tickets available for the buffet. However you can still join in the fun! A night of dancing with your family and friends. You can get your ticket for only £25 per person, which includes one ‘buy one get one free’ offer on selected drinks at the bar and gives you access to the Club from 9pm. To organise the event, the Club will shut to all Members from 6pm on New Year’s Eve. After that time, you’ll only be able to enter the Clubhouse if you have a ticket.

New Year’s Eve Pilates | 31st December

What better way to end the year than with a Pilates session? Come and join us for our New Year’s Eve pilates class at 10am and get ready to welcome 2024 with a smile and a strong core. Please click HERE to book your space, non-members welcome!

Gym and Club Open Day | Saturday 20th January

Please make a note of the date in your diaries. We’ll send out further details in the New Year. Are you looking for a fun and healthy way to start 2024? Then come to our gym open day on 20th January! We have some special offers for you and free classes will be available too. Everyone is welcome, no matter your fitness level or goals. Just pop by and see what we have to offer. Katy and her team will be on hand to show you around the Club and to introduce you to our wide range of exercise and gym classes.

Sunday Roast Lunches | 14th & 28th January

Our legendary Roast Sunday lunches return this January! We will be serving two-course lunches on the 14th and 28th of January, and we hope you will join us.
