Congratulations to our Winter League team on a fantastic win against Lexden Hill! FOSLTC also secured a place in the semi-finals of the Don Barton Cup with a closely fought victory over Rayleigh on Sunday. Well played, teams!

A gentle reminder to all tennis players to observe the Club’s court etiquette before, during, and after matches, especially in the bubble. Let’s keep the game enjoyable and respectful for everyone. Our club ettitque can be found HERE.

What’s happening at FOSLTC!

Winter Social – Table Tennis Evening

Shake off the winter chill and join us TONIGHT at the club for a Table Tennis Social Night.

The event is free to sign up for and registration can be completed online HERE. It is open to all members, including both adults and juniors.

We will be starting from 7pm, and we are pleased to confirm that Mark has kindly extended the Thursday Games Night special offers for the evening.

TNT Sports

What a first week it has been at the Australian Open! Coverage continues at the Club next week. And once we have confirmed timings for the final, we will let you know if this will be shown too!

In other sporting news, we will be showing West Ham vs Sunderland, 12.30pm on Saturday 24th January and on Wednesday 28th January, UEFA Champions league is back. Please speak to the bar on further details.

Did someone say Brunch?!

Join us on Sunday 15th February to celebrate Galentine’s Day at our Galentine’s Brunch! We’re thrilled to be launching what we hope will be a new monthly brunch series at the club. The meal is £22 per person, featuring live music from the amazing Tracey Moorhouse. Members do receieve 10% off! £1 from each ticket will be donated to Breast Cancer Now, and we’ll also be hosting a raffle on the day to raise additional funds. Racketlon Tournament

How are your multi racket sport skills? Join us on Sunday 1st March from 10.15am for our Racketlon tournament. Play across all Tennis, Squash & Table tennis to find out who our champion will be!

The Winner & Runner-up will both receive vouchers for Racket Sports Services at the Club! Entry for members is £5 and non-members is £7.50. A light lunch buffet is included. To sign-up up, follow the link HERE

The Gym!

Your weekly message from Katy;

We have added some new signage to the gym to help members understand the two bookable areas of the gym. If you’re confused or not sure please do reach out. Please remember, when you are using the weights area, to put the weights away and to also take the plates off the bars when you have finished. And as always, wipe down the equipment, clean your rubbish & book your slots!

Squash!

We’re pleased to welcome Alan Hubbard as our new Squash Coach. He’s starting his coaching at the end of January. You may have seen him in and around the club as he has been getting up to speed with the club and members over the past couple of months. Racket Sport Services

Racket Sport Services currently has a SALE, and prices on Volkl, Solinco, and Tecnifibre tennis rackets have been reduced even further! Also at lower prices are Selkirk Pickleball Padels, and balls! The sale will continue for at least until the end of January.
