Easter is on the way and we have a range of activities available for our junior Members as well as a host of activities for everyone! And I have some important pizza news for you! Before I get stuck into this week’s news and events, I’d like to urge you once again to get involved with our fundraising initiative. It’s called easyfundraising.

Every time you make an online purchase with one of over 4000 retailers and service providers, your Club receives a donation. Even for insurance, holidays or utilities too. AND there’s no cost to you. It’s an easy way for us to raise money. So far we have raised over £2,300 from this initiative. And by signing up, you receive exclusive offers too. It’s a win, win! Companies want to support local causes. Instead of providing direct donations, they’re increasingly using digital solutions. And it’s easy to sign up and until the end of March there’s a special promotion helping us to potentially raise further funds.

Roast Sunday Lunch | Easter Sunday 31st March

Whilst we are on the subject of Easter… have you booked the Easter Sunday Roast Lunch yet? We’ve been taking your bookings and have limited availability so to ensure you get a table, please book now! We will be serving another delicious two-course meal. It’s a super opportunity to bring family and friends to your Club to enjoy a tasty lunch over the bank holiday weekend. As always, non-members are welcome!

Easter Egg Hunt!

Of course the Easter Bunny will be popping a few eggs around the Club and we’re holding an Easter Egg hunt for the little ones. It’s free for your Junior Members and only £2 for Non-Members. 70’s Disco Party | Saturday 20th April

Get ready to boogie at our ultimate 70’s disco party! We’re cranking up the old school tunes and disco classics to take you on a funky trip back in time. Don’t miss out on this blast from the past. It’s time to dust off those platform shoes and outrageous outfits to show off your best (or worst) dance moves. Food will be available on the night too!

External Tennis Tournaments 2024

Our Club is hosting a series of top-tier tournaments organised by the ITF and LTA this year. Don’t miss out on the action! Visit our online calendar HERE to pick the events you want to watch or participate in. We have an exciting tennis season to mark our 125th anniversary ahead of us!

Junior U11 Tennis Club Sessions | Saturdays from 2pm

If you haven’t done it already, bring your little champ to our FREE U11 tennis sessions for our Junior and Affiliate Members. It’s always great fun and children can learn and improve their tennis game!

And don’t forget about our Parent Play! Available Sunday through Friday, from 3:30 to 5:00 pm, these 30-minute sessions allow one adult to share the court with their Junior (member). To book your slot, simply reach out to Kim at the office or book online HERE.

Tennis Tots | Fridays from 9:15am

Get ready for an exciting adventure into the world of tennis with our specially designed program for your little ones aged 2.5 to 4 years old! Our fun-filled games and interactive stations, led by one of our accredited LTA coaches, are the perfect way to introduce your toddlers to the sport. Click HERE for more info or to book your spot.

Mini Squash Competition | Thursday 28th March

Our Club will be hosting a Mini Squash Competition and festival on Thursday, 28th March, from 12.00 to 2.45 pm. This sporting event will feature school year five and six teams from Frinton and Kirby, showcasing their squash skills. Spectators are more than welcome to join in the fun and cheer on these young talents. Thank you Chris for organising!

We’re looking for a Lifeguard

We are currently looking for qualified Pool Lifeguards to join our team from May through to September. If you love the idea of spending your summer poolside, we want to hear from you! Please get in touch with Kim@fosltc.com should you or someone you know be interested in this position.

Club Open Day 2024 | Saturday 18th May

Please do mark your diaries for Saturday 18th May for the Club’s Open Day. As we head into our 125th anniversary year – we hope to make it a special day for Club Members and prospective Members alike! We’ll post more details closer to the date.

Southern Rhône Wine & Dine

Before I forget, if you have not bought your tickets for the special Southern Rhône wine tasting to be held at the Club on Saturday 13th April (with plenty of wine to drink and try! Please do drink responsibly yada yada!) as hosted by our Club President, Martin Tinsley with a specially paired menu to accompany the wine journey – you can find out details and book your tickets HERE.

Pizza at the Club!

As ever our Thursday Night is Games Night continues – so it’s always worth popping down to the Club. With special offers on drinks and a range of indoor board and bar games to play. It’s turning into a fun social evening. STOP THE PRESS! >> On Thursday 28th March Chef and his team are going to trial a brand new offering at the Club. Pizza! Yes, cooked in a newly refurbished facility, he’ll be offering a range of freshly prepared and cooked pizza to be eaten at the Club or for take-away. If it’s popular? We’ll be making this a more regular feature. We will be serving the following:
