Hello! It’s here. Another bank holiday weekend. I certainly had a good warm-up for the Coronation event itself on an old route master bus seeing the sights of central London with a fizz fuelled tea hosted by Sharon Osborne! It’s time to go Coronation crazy. God Save The King!

The bunting is going up at the Club and we hope you’ll want to get into full festive swing.

Grass Tennis Courts
You’ll notice that the line work and set up for the courts has already taken place. There’s a bit more work to be done before we can play on them. Although the nets are out please do NOT play on the courts before they are ready. We hope that next Friday may see the start to our grass season. Our thanks, once again, to the team from from Cromer for their work and the tireless and considerable efforts by Steve and Craig who are working hard to get our grass courts ready for you for next week. All will be weather dependent, so please bear with us!

Coronation Weekend | Saturday 6th May – Monday 8th May
There’s a lot going on this weekend and we very much hope you’ll be able to join us at the Club. The Bar will be open throughout the weekend and Mark and the team would be delighted to see you. And yes, Pimm’s is BACK on tap! And we have our full range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks on offer *(please drink responsibly blah blah)

3 Month Social Membership

Please do bring friends, family and neighbours to visit our stand next Sunday and do encourage them to enter. And to join our Club!

Monday 8th May
It’s The Big Help followed by our Coronation Tea. The weather is looking a bit dodgy for Monday so our activities may be curtailed. However there is some painting to be done and a few things around the Club to attend to – so if you’d like to help – we hope you’ll make yourself available. Please speak to Rebecca or Karen who are coordinating. Meanwhile, there may be some last minute availability to join us for tea. Chef wil be serving a range of sarnies, cakes, scones and the Buckingham Palace recipe ‘Coronation Quiche’ too – DE-licious! Menu and booking details are HERE.

Club Works
With the Thatched Roof Project complete we have a few other projects underway. The Disabled WC facility is almost complete and if you’re wondering what’s happening in the corridor, we have at last got around to making the trophy cabinet that will be in place for the Open Day. I cannot tell you how pleased Bill Greeno is that these works are underway. There are some other aspects of painting and smartening up the Clubhouse over the next week or two as well.

New Clothing Range
Our new clothing range has dropped. That’s apparently the lingo one needs to use when newly designed kit becomes available. How very modern. And we have some fabulous new t-shirts, sweatshirts and our new gilet too! The new designs are fabulous! Our thanks to Adam Swan for designing the new range and to Kat for making all the arrangements to get this on sale. All the usual kit is still available to spruce up your wardrobe. And for THIS WEEKEND ONLY… you can get an extra 20% off with our Coronation Special. Buy it NOW so you’re summer ready. And there’s FREE postage on any orders more than £50. Get in! Take a look at the super new designs and our whole clothing range HERE. We hope to see as many of you as possible sporting our new designs and colours!
