Hello!

There’s so much happening at the Club this week that we thought we’d send out our newsletter early so you can plan ahead! Our Club is definitely the place to be for a perfect sunny day or evening out. As you’ll probably know by now, it’s the Club’s 125th Anniversary this year and we’re holding a special Dinner & Dance to celebrate on Saturday 13th July. We hope as many of you will join us for this spectacular evening. There’s more details below.

The Lexus British Tour is underway at the Club this week. The tournament is just over halfway through and thanks to the lovely weather this week, we’ve witnessed some spectacular grass tennis. Our Poolside Kitchen is open (12 – 6pm) for those looking to enjoy a tasty lunch, an afternoon bite to eat or a cheeky ice-cream. Please come along to support these amazing young players and enjoy a lovely al fresco meal, glass of Pimm’s, perhaps some club-made cake, or just a cuppa. Everyone is welcome!

If you want to play tennis yourselves, we have courts reserved for Members, so please book in the usual way.

Thursday Night is Football Night!

Our usual Thursday night games night isn’t on this week due to the tennis tournament. This week, however, it’s England’s next match in the UEFA EURO’s. It’s England VS Denmark with kick-off at 5pm. The match will be shown on the big screen, we’ll have selected drinks at discounted prices during the match and our Poolside Kitchen will be open until 6pm. Surely there’s no better place to watch the match? Non-members are welcome to join in and enjoy the game with fellow football fans.

Thursday Night is Games Night will be back NEXT WEEK. And yes, Pizza will be back on the menu too!

Last Weeks’ Tennis Results

Frinton’s Ladies vets team, playing in the Essex Seniors League, had a long match against Westcliff Lawn Tennis Club on the grass on Sunday afternoon.

After several close sets and two championship tie breaks, we’re happy to report that Frinton won 6 sets to Westcliff Lawn’s 4. Well played Tina, Soozi, Shiho and Victoria.

Our Men’s C team played at Lexden Hill on Monday. The sun was shining, and we witnessed some fantastic tennis. Unfortunately, it ended in a narrow 4:5 defeat for our team.
