What a week. What a tournament! We were so pleased to welcome the Under 11 and Under 12 categories back for the LTA Grade 1 Tournament hosted last week at our Club. Some incredible tennis played and to the very highest standard. We have witnessed some of the country’s best junior players and continue to build our Club’s reputation on the tennis circuit. As ever there are a huge number of people to thank from both the LTA and a huge vote of thanks to Steve and Craig for getting the courts up to an incredible standard and to all our volunteers who helped during the tournament. And to our Poolside Kitchen and Bar teams who ensured everyone was kept fed and watered throughout. A big thanks too to Kim and our whole team for making the event one of the most successful so far. And to all of you who came down to the Club to spectate and support the event. Bravo!

On to this week’s activities and news.

This Weekend

The authorities decided to put out a weather warning. Yes, this weekend will be a HOT one! But I say, bring it on! Our Club thrives when the weather is fine. Our heated pool and Poolside Kitchen will be open. There’s nowhere better to be!

For children, our pool will be open from lunchtime until 5.30 – swimming slots are still available, but understandably going fast. Be quick! Non-members can join in the fun and it’s £7 per slot. Book HERE.

The Poolside Kitchen will be open from 12noon until 5:30pm for you to enjoy delicious burgers or other healthy (and not so healthy) yummy things! And ice-cream.

Our bar will also be open. Pimm’s on tap? A lovely glass of fine rosé or a cheeky pint of lager. Yes please. Thank you. Whatever takes your fancy! Please drink responsibly (yada yada) and there are plenty of non-alcoholic options on offer too.

And cake. Everyone likes cake! And at just £2.75 a wedge. Get in.

Swimming Pool

To see the pool opening hours – click HERE. By way of advanced warning, our pool will be closed for children’s swimming from 15-18th June. We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.

During this time adults are welcome to enjoy a ‘peaceful’ swim in the pool from morning until evening. Non-members are welcome to swim. It’s just £7pp, fees are payable behind the bar or at the office. Or why not join the Club? Just saying.
