Hello!
It’s definitely got a bit colder and thank goodness the bubble went up early this year! There’s a lot going on at the Club with plenty of events on the way too. Please do get involved. First this week, a huge thanks to Ann Towler who has once again toiled away to fill the planters with autumnal blooms. It’s very much appreciated and makes our Club much more welcoming. Meanwhile, on to this week’s news…
Anglian Water
If you’ve been to the Club this week you may have seen a few more trucks and vans than usual. As communicated to our members earlier this week, Anglian Water have been working on site to fix a burst water main. These works are ongoing and unfortunately parking is still limited. We have been assured it won’t be long until the works are complete. In the meantime, we’re open as usual and otherwise unaffected!

AGM – Friday 11th October
Only one week to go until our Club’s AGM! If you’re a Club Member, you should have received notification this week of the agenda and the minutes from last year’s meeting. They can be viewed HERE
To gauge attendance and cater appropriately for refreshments afterwards, please indicate whether you’ll be in attendance. To register please email hannah@fosltc.com
Although there will be a Q&A on the evening, it’s helpful to receive communications before to allow us to prepare. As time is limited, it will give you a better chance of having your question answered on the night. Please email any questions or queries to kim@fosltc.com
The cut off time for nominations to run against those Directors being rotated has passed. The two rotating directors are Victoria Kunzer and James Max. They, along with Gavin Downing who was co-opted to the Board this year, will be up for a confirmatory vote on the evening.
Squash Championships
This year’s Annual Squash Championships are about to get underway! The draws have just been posted. Will Max Cochrane retain his men’s single title this year?
The finals night is on Saturday 16th November, so please save the date. We’re sure that whoever reaches the finals, it’ll be a fabulous match to watch!

Donations welcome on the day to Breast Cancer Now.
As I always say, please book your courts. And pay for lighting or any guests. And your classes too – they’re getting rather busy! And should you have any queries or questions – please enquire at the office or feel free to drop me an email. Meanwhile, have a great week!
