Hello!

Our newsletter is back! After a couple of weeks away and with some staff changes, we’re refreshed and ready to update you on everything that’s going on at your Club this Autumn!

First, this Saturday (21st September) sees the somewhat delayed finale to the Triangle Tournament. Supported by Stabilised Pavements Ltd, SPL, this is the culmination of sporting competition between Frinton’s great sporting Clubs! Come and support, have a drink, buy raffle tickets or simply enjoy the splendid Cricket Club from 1.30pm on Saturday afternoon.

We’d like to welcome back Rebecca. She has now started her role as our Sales & Marketing Manager with a remit to help drive our Club forward. A quick word from her:

‘It’s great to be back and working again for the Club. Over the past 2 weeks it’s been lovely to see so many Members again. We’ve been discussing the aspects that matter to you. We’re actively working on showcasing our Club and the best way to do that is through you, our Members and visitors. Streamlining communication so you know what’s going on and where to find information. To begin, our newsletter will highlight Club matters and we’re activating a fortnightly events email to help showcase what you can get involved with and for you to plan ahead. Other exciting developments are on the way which we’ll release shortly! If you’ve got anything to share on our socials, events you’d like to see or ideas on what we can bring to the Club, please get in touch. Email me rebecca@fosltc.com I’ll be happy to discuss this with you!”

Hannah, who joined us last year, leads our event coordination and function bookings. If you have an enquiry or would like to know any more about what the Club could offer for your private event, you can email her on hannah@fosltc.com

Club Championships

What a fabulous day! The weather was on our side and with some amazing tennis played by our finalists. Club history was also made with Marcus Eatherton winning his 6th consecutive Men’s single title! Congratulations to all our other winners, a full list of results can be viewed HERE A big thank you to Pete and Tom for organising this year’s championships, to Diane and Victoria too and to all players who took part.

Autumn Renovations and The Bubble!

Blimey, the bubble is up! And of course the weather has now decided to stay warm. Anyway, we’re ready for when it inevitably turns! Please remember to book your slots through the Clubspark booking system. We’ve listened to you and taken the decision to keep the fees the same as last year. We’ll continue to monitor useage and income however, please do pay for outdoor lighting and bubble fees, it’s not fair on other Members if you don’t.

A huge debt of thanks to Steve, our head groundsman and Craig for all their work over the summer to ensure our grass courts have played magnificently. For them, the work has not stopped! This week, they’ve worked hard on the autumn renovations for our grass courts. A massive thank you to Matt and Pete from Cromer Tennis for their assistance. Please stay off the courts whilst the works are being completed, ready for next year’s summer season.

Thanks also to all those who took part in the recent survey regarding the bubble fees. Following your feedback, the bubble booking system will stay the same with our pay and play system. If you are interested in receiving more detail of the results, please email tennis@fosltc.com
