Hello!

We’ve made it through to February! If you have been doing dry January, why not pop down to the Club for a sharpener to celebrate the end of the most dismal time of year. If, like me, you didn’t bother but have a small win to celebrate (you’ve completed your tax return), we know that happier times are ahead and our Club is a great place to come and visit! Looking ahead we have a range of events arranged this month. So we hope some will appeal!

As most of you already know, we are putting on a live gig on Friday 31st March. It’s a very popular local band ‘Stiff in the Morning’. Tickets sold out within a few days. So we urge you all not to buy your tickets from any unknown sources as these could be fake! And we will be checking tickets on the door. Should you have tickets and are not able to attend, we will be very happy to try to re-sell them for you. And if you want to be on that waitlist…please get in touch rebecca@fosltc.com.

Thatched Roof Works
Progress is being made with the thatched roofing works. If the weather remains good, the scaffolding will start to come down in – weeks time. Do pop down and see how our expert team of thatchers are doing!

Karaoke Night
Dry January is over. Thank goodness. Let’s celebrate!
We start at 8pm TONIGHT (Friday) and would love to see as many of you as possible. It’s always a great night out, so don’t miss out!

Valentine’s Dinner
Valentine’s day is around the corner so why not surprise your loved one with a romantic night out on Saturday 11th February? We have it all in hand – you’ll enjoy a delicious 3-course meal, the pianist will be playing and on top of this you will be treated to a rose and chocolates. And if think Valentine’s Day should simply pass you by… popping out for a delicious dinner at the Club isn’t a bad way to spend an evening! Please book your table now to avoid any disappointment. Book HERE.

Quiz Night and Dinner
Who doesn’t love a quiz? Why not test your knowledge with our very own quizmaster J.D Collins and his trusty sidekick, err me! It’s on Friday 17th February kicking off at 6.30pm. J.D. will have fiendish quiz questions to deploy… we’ll probably gather together some awful prizes and we’ll be serving a delicious chicken, ham and leek homemade pie. Veggie options available! This is booking up FAST – so reserve your table HERE.

Sunday Roast Lunch
Our next Roast Sunday Lunch will be on Sunday 26th February. As you probably know by now, these events sell out. And lunch is top-notch! We hope you’ll like the menu Chef has put together and please do book now! Book HERE.

And in other news, you might like to know that on Saturday 11th February, our friends at the Frinton Summer Theatre are holding Frinton’s first sing-along-a-cinema! It’s The Sound of Music! So why not Climb Every Mountain, know your Do-Re-Mi and seek out the Lonely Goatherd. Apparently fancy dress is ‘encouraged’. Dust off those homemade curtain fabric outfits! Details below.
