A few housekeeping matters to open with;
Membership is the most important aspect of our Club. Not only to help you achieve the most from your membership but also you are the best people to help spread the word. Whether it’s to your neighbours, friends, family or colleagues. Indeed everyone should know we are here and that there’s something for everyone. Please do tell them about us. Bring them for a drink or to one of our events. Please continue to spread the word!
EasyFundraising. I am really pleased to report that we have tipped over the £2,000 mark with our fundraising efforts. To those of you who have signed up and do use the app. THANK YOU! Of course it’s a bit of a hassle to sign up for these things. But I am sure you’re making online purchases on a regular basis. And for pretty much every online deal you make, there’s some money that could come to your Club. At NO cost to you. In the words of the Beatles, Please (please please!) could you sign up and make sure it’s activated when you buy anything online! And if that wasn’t enough they do a regular post of deals that could actually save YOU money too. All the details are HERE. I know I keep banging on but this is such a simple way for us to raise money without asking you for a penny!
Events. If you think the Club needs an event or you want to get involved in helping to organise something social. Please do let us know. And don’t forget that if you are a Member and want to organise a private lunch or party – you can do so and take advantage of discounted Member Rates. Just speak to Rebecca or Karen and they’ll be happy to help!
On to this week’s news.
The Triangle Tournament is BACK! Last year for the first time in many years, Frinton’s three great sporting clubs assembled to compete in their respective main sports in spirited competition. All involved decided it was so much fun that we should do it all over again. Once again it’s generously sponsored by Gerry Howe from SPL, Stabilised Pavements Ltd and we really hope we can field full teams for every sport this time around!
We will need around 8 golfers for Sunday 25th June, cricket players for Sunday 9th July and a tennis team for Sunday 23rd July. Sign up sheets will be posted in the Club shortly (if they aren’t already there!). Bill Greeno is coordinating our side of the activities, should you have any questions. If you’d like to help him to coordinate, please get in touch! We are also looking into whether we can repeat the success of the croquet cup! More news on that soon.
Do you have a spare TV fire stick or other free to air TV device that works from an internet connection that could give the Club extra TV channels? Is so, please let us know. And a cheeky one. Have you got an old PC that you don’t want any more? Before we look to upgrade our IT we have a requirement for a decent-ish machine to run our CCTV systems on. If that’s you, please get in touch with Kim.

Blimey! Looks like this event is going to be popular given the amount of bookings we have already taken… Friday 10th March is the date. Arrivals from 6.30pm. Eyes down at 7pm. As always we will have some simply appalling prizes on offer and a mediocre bingo caller. Me! We do hope you’ll want to join in – the menu looks delish and it’s only £13 a head to include bingo cards and supper. Book HERE.
Have you investigated to see what we have on offer for your little (or even not so little) ones? From our brand new Tots Squash to Free Tennis Classes. Peter (Tennis) and Chris (squash) are available for private coaching as well, so if you like to keep your kids busy next week your children next week for half term, get in touch with them.
Our active Essex classes are very popular and we have seen many new faces coming through the door. Most of our classes are now fully booked, but we still have some availability if you are interested. Click HERE to see our availability.
