As January gets underway the Club is getting busy again! Today sees the return of the Frinton Jazz Club for a sold-out night of soul and funk. If you want to make sure you know about what they have coming up? Have a look on the ticket website and follow them on Facebook!
Tonight, chef is preparing sausages in baps. With sautéed onions and freshly cooked homemade chips. Delish! Maybe not diet appropriate but hey ho. Everyone loves a sausage (and yes, we have a few vegan ones on offer too). If you fancy popping down to the Club this Friday evening, we’re sure there may be a few portions available (or book online) to eat in or takeaway. When they’re gone, they’re gone!
On Sunday we see our first Sunday Roast Lunch of 2022. There’s still some availability but please do book quickly to make sure you can reserve your table! I don’t need to remind you how delicious Chef’s roast lunches are, do I? Roast lamb, roast pork and a veggie option are all available with all the trimmings and some tasty puds too. Book ASAP! All the details are on the website. Or click here.
Let’s start with the gym! We have an open day event at the end of the month. It will run for two days! On Friday 28th and Saturday 29th January, our friends at Technogym will be with us to demonstrate some amazing advancements in technological health by giving you FREE body analysis and advice. If you’re interested in trying out some fancy new equipment or seeing what’s on offer? This event is for YOU! All the info you need is on the website. Just click here for details.
AND we have partnered up with Technogym to supply YOU with their kit at special discounted prices too. Not to detract from our gym but there might be a particular machine or piece of kit you really like. And you could treat it like an exercise top up, perhaps you could have one at home, click here to view our online catalogue.
Of course, Katy and the team have a range of classes available to get you back into some exercise plans after the festive period. And we are adding a new yoga class too…
For those who are a little less mobile? How about ‘chair yoga’? Yes, it’s a thing. Here’s how Katy describes it;
“If you’ve ever wanted to try yoga but have been worried about getting up and down then this is the class for you! It is also ideal for anyone who just wishes for more support when standing or balancing compared to a regular yoga class.
Chair yoga can also be useful for anyone who spends a lot of time seated-postures can even be woven into your day.
Chair yoga offers everything a regular yoga class offers but with the support of the chair to aid in our asana (posture-work). The class will include pranayama (breathwork), mobilisation, asana (posture) and end with a relaxation.
Chairs will be provided but please come with a yoga mat as this is essential to help keep your chair stable.
See you in class! “
So there you have it. Why not investigate all the offers available for our gym? The first-class equipment, amazing classes and one-on-one personal training too. It’s all there waiting for you!
Pete and the team at NeetAcademy have just added a selection of ‘junior’ coaching classes to their schedule. They do get really booked up so investigate NOW! And don’t forget that if you have a need to book a private lesson or two? Please get in touch.
The Winter Box League continues, so please do play your matches and record the results. All the details can be found on the Club’s website.
Squash, croquet, walking football, classes and table tennis all continue at the Club. For details please get in touch with the office who can point you in the right direction.
We also have a range of upcoming events for you – the calendar has been updated for 2022 so do take a look! There’s a lot going on and you’ll be sure to find something to grab your attention!
Our friends at Cinema on Sea are back. This Saturday, they’re screening the latest (and final outing for Daniel Craig), No Time To Die at the McGrigor Hall. For details and last-minute availability please go to https://www.caxtonbooks.co.uk/cinema
We very much hope you’ll be joining us soon or why not pop down to the Club to see what’s going on. After all, we have a super range of alcoholic and soft drinks and an array of snacks too!
That’s it for now. Have a great week.
