It usually never rains but pours. Despite the awful weather over the last few weeks, there was a special moment for the Club to be indirectly part of last week, as one of our members, Michael Hartnett, was personally invited to meet HM The King. This is a wonderful honour. Well done Michael.
Our internal and external tennis league results are live on the website. Take a look at who’s been doing what, and for those competing, please get your matches played so we can progress to the next rounds.
Anyone who has visited the Club recently, during the day, will have noticed there is a bit of a good vibe going on, definitely helped by the growing breakfast offering, which now includes baps for those who fancy something heartier.
And don’t forget, we have got some fantastic events coming up both on and off the courts. Make sure you get your names down before spaces disappear.

As promised, our hot food options have launched at the club! We now have an extended breakfast option with sausage and/or bacon baps, plus Pukka Pies and of course the favourite sausage roll!

Half Term Tennis Camp!
On Thursday 19th February, NEET Academy will be holding their Holiday camp for 5-12yrs. Activities will include skills and games and will cover basic agility, balance and coordination with the main priority to have FUN! For more information click HERE

Michael meets the King
On Thursday 5th February 2026 you may have seen his Majesty the King, and her Majesty the Queen visit Dedham to meet local heroes and representatives from around the region.
One of the invitees to meet Their Majesties was our very own member, Michael Hartnett. Michael is a former Team GB disability tennis player (currently taking a break due to injury). He has had a career high ranking of 5 in GB and has won multiple gold medals, including at the Sheffield Summer Games in 2017.
Michael is also a disability ambassador for the sport with the LTA, actively promoting Disability Tennis.
This was an incredible opportunity for Michael and we wish him a speedy recovery and all the best for his matches this year.
Darts social evening
TONIGHT! The Tennis Committee is hosting its second social evening. Come and trade your racquets for arrows for some friendly competition in the bar. Racketlon Tournament
It’s less than a month now until our Racketlon Tournament! Join us on Sunday 1st March from 10.15am for our Racketlon tournament. Play across all Tennis, Squash & Table tennis to find out who our champion will be! The Winner & Runner-up will both receive vouchers for Racket Sports Services at the club!

There’s a whole host of sport available this weekend!
On Saturday 14th the FA cup kicks off with Burton Albion vs West Ham, kick off 12.15pm.
In the afternoon, in the Six Nations, Ireland vs Italy at 2.10pm followed by England vs Scotland at 4.40pm.
On Sunday 15th, it’s Arsenal vs Wigan kick off 4.30pm.
When the rugby or football isn’t being shown, we will be showing live coverage of the Winter Olympics.
