Hello!
As we head into the festive season, I want to express our thanks for your continued support for your Club. Also to emphasise how we can all make a positive difference. We hope with the improved range of events, classes, coaching and facilities that you’ll continue to come along and visit the Club more frequently. The more we pop down, attend events and make use of our social and sporting facilities – the better chance we have to not only survive but thrive! We all know that Rachel from accounts will make our lives more challenging next year – however over the past few weeks you’ve been booking our events and visiting the Club. Even a social drink at the bar or extra sporting activity makes a difference. So we’re hoping this trend will continue!
As part of our reinvigorated events calendar, we held a quiz last Friday that was fully booked. Fish & Chips were served and as a result of this success we hope to put on more Member focussed activities in the new year. More reasons for you to be a Member? Alongside the plans we have to continue to improve your Club, we’re expecting 2025 to be an exciting year. We’ll have more details as to what we have planned in the coming weeks.

Anglian Water Works
Unfortunately, there has been another burst pipe! Anglian Water have assured us it shouldn’t take as long this time around to fix, however there will be disruption in the car park whilst the work is being completed. In the meantime, we’re still open as usual and otherwise unaffected!
Christmas Market | Saturday 30th November
No plans this Saturday? Then why not pop down for our first ever Club Christmas Market! Doors open at 11am, we have local businesses from crafts, coffee, drinks, jams, art and more! Plus, Pizza will be available from 12pm with a special Christmas pizza available to! This is our first Christmas Market at the Club so we really hope you’ll pop down and support. It’s just £2 to enter with all proceeds going to the Club!
Racketlon Tournament | Sunday 1st December
This is your last chance to enter our Racketlon tournament this weekend! Play across all our racket sports; Tennis, Squash, Table Tennis and Pickleball. Who will our champions will be? Could it be YOU?! Our top prize is a £50.00 Voucher spend at Racket Sports Services within the club! Entry for members is £5.00 and non-members is £8.00. 10.30am registration with a 11am start. Staffing
We’re currently on the look out for a couple more waiting staff to join our team. If you know someone who may be interested in a few extra hours of work, please email hannah@fosltc.com
Studio Gym Festive Fundraiser | Wednesday 11th December
Come and join us for our Coffee Morning raising funds for NEW studio gym flooring and mirrors. The event starts at 10.30am and runs until 12.30pm. Delicious homemade cakes and savoury products will be available to buy. Plus, a luxurious Christmas hamper and a host of other prizes to be won! January Tennis Ladder Leagues
From the 1st January we’ll be starting our NEW Tennis Ladder Leagues. Sign-up sheets are on the tennis board in the foyer of the Club. We’ll be running both a singles and doubles competition. Plus, it’s free to enter for members!
Sponsorship
We’d like to thank all our sponsors who have supported the Club through our 2024 season. You may start to notice some new boards going up at the Club as we have some new sponsors for our 2025 season.
