Hello!
Another week has gone by with yet more appalling weather. Will the driving rain and wind ever cease? And whilst you may be thinking of hibernating until spring, thankfully there’s a lot going on at your Club! From social events, to sporting activities, fitness classes and our social sessions are really gathering momentum too. So please do sign up, book courts and get involved.
Bubble – Help Required!
Yes, I know what all our tennis players are thinking… will we ever get the bubble up? Weather permitting we hope the Bubble will go up on Tuesday. To assist this time and for the future we need a working party to help. Is that you? If you are able to help please contact Bill Greeno directly on his mobile 07807 258246. Hopefully, if we get a group together to be trained, in future we will be able to dismantle and erect the bubble ourselves.
An Amazing Offer. Really!
The weather has been so miserable that we thought we need to cheer you up. With that in mind, if you top up your Membership Card with credit, we’ll be adding a little something to your balance. Add between £100 – £249 and we’ll add 5%. Add £250 – £499 and we’ll add 7.5%. And add over £500 and we’ll add a whopping 10% to whatever credit you put on your card! We’ll be keeping this offer open until close of business on Friday 17th November. To secure this offer, please speak to Mark who will make take payment and make the arrangements!
An Old Friend Returns
The Pimm’s has gone for the season… but will return in the spring. And that means * fanfare * Neck Oil is BACK! It’s a fabulous pint and very reasonably priced too. Please drink responsibly (yada yada).
Meanwhile last weekend saw the Frinton Literary Festival, Philomena Dwyer Literary Lunch take place at our Club. Miriam Margolyes packed out the Ballroom and entertained with a wide ranging, funny and thought provoking conversation with Clive Brill. It was a sensational event, a superb lunch prepared by Chef and his team and a huge thanks to the Festival for asking us to host. And to our team who were magnificent.
Club Survey
This week saw the launch of our series of surveys to Members and non-members alike. It’s part of our plan to engage more to find out what works well for you, areas to improve and the things you’d like us to do. It won’t take long to fill in and we have already received quite a few responses. We’ll be gathering the data, looking into the feedback and reporting back to you. Of course we cannot necessarily do everything we want to do let alone address all of the suggestions. However we will do the best we can and build the best ideas into our five-year plan that we’re putting in place as we continue to develop our Club. Please do take the time to fill in the survey HERE as best you can. And for one lucky winner? If you do reply with your contact details there will be a draw for a bottle of the fabulous Jarrow House English sparkling wine, as made by our Club Member Sally Smith and her partner Robert Auld. It’s also available at the bar! * pop * * fizz *
Meanwhile on to this week’s news.
