As the days get shorter and we inch closer to those cosy, Christmas vibes, FOSLTC is buzzing with excitement! We’ve got a jam-packed schedule to keep your spirits high this week. 

This edition is all about celebrating our recent Squash champions, making sure you don’t miss the final deadlines for the new Winter Tennis League, and gearing up for an epic weekend of live sports in the clubroom (think Premier League football followed by an international rugby feast!). 

Plus, we’re shifting into full festive gear, starting with our second annual Christmas Market next weekend. It’s the perfect time to get involved, socialise, and make the most of your club.

Squash Club Championships Results 

A massive shoutout to this year’s champions! The competition was fierce, and we saw some great sportsmanship on the court. 

• Boy’s Final: Brother vs. brother! Matthew Hamer took the crown after a competitive match against Marcus (3-1). 

• Men’s Final: Steve Snelling swept the Men’s Final against Robert Rouse (3-0). 

Well done to everyone who picked up a racket and took part this year!

Clear your diaries! We have an epic weekend of live sport lined up in the bar. 

• Saturday, Nov 22: We kick things off with Burnley vs. Chelsea (12:30 pm). 

• Rugby Bonanza: The action doesn’t stop there! 

• Saturday: Wales vs. New Zealand (3:10 pm), Ireland vs. South Africa (5:40 pm), and Italy vs. Samoa OR France vs. Australia (8:10 pm). 

• Sunday: Scotland vs. Tonga (1:40 pm), and England vs. Argentina (4:10 pm).

Christmas 2025: Get Festive! 

The most wonderful time of the year is almost here! 

• Christmas Market: Join us next Saturday, November 29, for our second annual Christmas market (free entry, 11 am–3 pm). We’ve got 18 amazing local stalls. Chef will be firing up the pizza oven (pre-orders advised clixk here HERE and we’ll have mulled wine and festive themed cocktails flowing! Make mine a snowball! 

• Upcoming Events: Spaces are going fast! Only one spot left for Wreath Making (Dec 4), tickets are flying for the Kids’ Disco (Dec 5), and our Festive Lunch (Dec 21) is nearly full.
