Hello!

On Sunday, we remembered those who have sacrificed their lives in battle for our freedom. A service was held at Frinton Memorial Club where the club paid their respects and observed the two minute silence. Thankyou to all who have brought a poppy at the club and donated towards the Royal British Legion.

It looks like a cold snap of weather is on the way. And I daresay demand for the bubble will rise. Please do make sure you book and pay for your courts. Meanwhile there’s plenty going on indoors to keep you busy! Here’s this week’s news;

Squash Finals | Saturday 16th November

On Saturday it’s finals day for our annual Club squash championships. Max Cochrane won the second semi-final against Kevin Bruce to reach the final against Jack Bruce, for the 4th year in a row. The day starts with the mini squash finals with Isla vs William at 3.30pm, followed by the boy’s final at 4pm, ladies game of Abi Viera vs Grace Trotman at 4.30pm and finally the Men’s showdown at 5pm! Who will come out victorious this year?! Good luck to all those playing.

Friday Night is Members’ Night! | 22^nd November

Well hang on just a minute. New event alert here! Next Friday is our first Members’ night bar quiz with fish and chips! We plan to introduce these monthly if next Friday, 22^nd November is a success. Our bar quiz is FREE to enter, with teams of up to 6 people and starts at 7pm. Please email rebecca@fosltc.com to book your team. We’ll also be serving up Fish & Chips between 6.30pm and 8.30pm (vegetarian option available). £13.50 each and pre-orders are welcome HERE

Racketlon Tournament | Saturday 1st December

How are your multi racket sport skills? Join us on Sunday 1^st December for our Racketlon tournament. Play across Tennis, Squash, Table Tennis and Pickleball to find out who our champions will be! Our top prize is a £50.00 Voucher to use with Racket Sports Services within the club!! Entry for members is £5.00 and for non-members it’s £8.00. 10.30am registration with an 11am start. By now you’ll know how much we love a Roast Sunday Lunch at the Club. And it would appear you do too! Our next Sunday Lunch is on 24^th November. And it’s already getting booked up! Make sure you book your table HERE whilst there’s still time.

Don’t forget our Pizza and Games night continues every Thursday. Our Christmas Festive Special is on 5^th December! All are welcome.

And all our usual sporting activities are still ongoing. From tennis and coaching, gym and classes, squash, croquet to walking football. All details are on the website or via the office. And why not try out our newest sporting offer, Pickleball? It’s proving to be very popular and good fun too. Just enquire via the office to get involved.
