Hello! Meteorological autumn is here. And as the nights begin to get longer and the possibility of wet weather after our long and baking summer becomes a reality, so our attention must turn to the end of the summer season. Here’s what’s happening.

Thatched Roof Fundraising Dinner
This event will take place on Saturday 1st October. You may wonder how we can offer a Member’s price at only £35pp for a two course dinner! AND fabulous entertainment. Amazing value for what we have in store for you! Whilst enjoying your delicious two-course meal you will be entertained by Casper Clarke – an X Factor finalist. One of our Members has kindly donated the evening’s entertainment to keep down the costs. This will be followed by an excellent auction when you will have the opportunity to bid for some amazing items. Some experiences money cannot usually buy and we have a few special surprise auction items lined up for you! Most of the details are HERE as we won’t be able to surprise you if it’s all there! We really hope you’ll be able to join us for a fun evening that will raise much needed funds towards this vital project.

And to bring you up to date. Along with the donations so far and the pledges on auction items, we are now at over £60k… that’s TWO THIRDS of the amount we NEED to raise. With your help we can get there. Please do bid on the auction items but also direct donations to the Club will attract Gift Aid. Please make your donation, however big or small HERE.

Meanwhile, let’s back to the now.

Croquet
On a warm August Bank Holiday Saturday the new Frinton Croquet Club held an Association Croquet Tournament.
Richard Everett ended up winning the singles ‘Coaches Cup’ and Susie and John Anderson winning the doubles ‘Founders Cup’. Judging by the raucous nature of the crowd, a good time was had by all.

Richard did a great job on bank holiday Monday raising some more money for our croquet club, as well as spreading the word about what’s going on and our latest sporting addition to the Frinton-on-Sea Lawn Tennis Club. Thank you Richard and all our croquet players for all your hard work! Not only have they raised money but made playing so welcoming – if you fancy a game or want to learn… do get in touch with Richard Everett or Ann Evander, or via the office.

Gym
Our classes continue. And if you’ve not signed up yet, we’ve started brand new pilates class alongside all the other regular classes. From yoga, to exercise activities. It’s all HERE!
