Oops! We probably should have mentioned this earlier but as it’s Good Friday, there are a few slight changes to the Club’s opening hours over the Easter Weekend. If you’re planning to come down to the Club, please take a moment to check the updated times HERE.
With high‑speed broadband now fully up and running, it is the perfect time to pop down to the Club, settle in with your laptop, and make the most of the facilities – whether you’re catching up on work or treating yourself to something tasty from the bar. Of course you can do both!
Following on from sprucing up of the ladies’ toilets, Graham has been as industrious as ever in his not-so-behind the scenes improvements. His latest project is giving the tennis shed by Court 9 some much‑needed attention. As we get everything ready for a great summer on the grass, we will also be looking for volunteers to lend a hand with a few upcoming projects. We will share more details, along with dates and how you can get involved, in due course.
You can always tell Easter is approaching when the sound of our juniors fills the grounds. NEET’s tennis camps are in full swing, with young players learning new strokes, techniques, and having a whole lot of fun along the way.
For the adults, Easter celebrations begin tonight with the fantastic Tracey Moorhouse performing at the Club. Whether you fancy a singalong, a little bop, or simply relaxing with some all‑time favourites, head to the bar and enjoy a great evening.

Easter Tennis Half Term Camps
It’s been a great week for the first two camps. There is still availability for next week on Tuesday 7th and Friday 10th April.
Sessions will focus on technical development, movement and general game awareness, with a balance of structured coaching and competitive games. Players will be grouped by age and standard where possible to ensure the right level of challenge.
The camps are suitable for both regular academy players and those simply looking to play more tennis during the holidays.
Group sizes are kept small to maintain coaching quality, so places are limited.

Pickleball Tournament
There’s only 3 spaces left for our tournament on Sunday 19th April!!
Whether you’re a seasoned player or just starting out, this tournament is designed for everyone. Enjoy friendly competition, meet fellow players, and showcase your skills on the court. £10 sign-up fee which includes cake and a hot drink after! New Wifi Alert!
We are delighted to announce that high-speed fibre broadband has now been successfully installed at FOSLTC. This important upgrade will provide more reliable connectivity for the club office, supporting day-to-day administration and member services, while also ensuring the bar runs more smoothly with faster, more dependable payment processing. Alongside enhancing booking systems and communication, the new fibre connection represents a key step in modernising the club and improving the overall experience for members and visitors alike.
Squash Coaching
We have been lucky to secure a new Junior squash coach, Lucy Wass. Lucy is a head teacher at a primary school in Ipswich and is delighted to Join FOSLTC as Junior squash coach, under Alan Hubbard.
Lucy is a keen sportswoman, who will be responsible for growing the junior element of squash and also looking to increase female engagement. She will also be running a squash summer camp, more details coming soon!
TNT Sports
Football is back this week as we kick it off Saturday 4th April with Man City vs Liverpool in the FA cup, kick off 12.45pm. Followed by Chelsea vs Port Vale at 5.15pm and Southampton vs Arsenal at 8pm.
On Sunday the FA cup continues with West Ham vs Leeds at 4.30pm.
On Tuesday the Champions league is back with Real Madrid VS Bayern, kick off 8pm.
And Wednesday we have PSG vs Liverpool at 8pm kick off.
As usual, bar food and drinks are available!

Frinton Summer Theatre
Frinton Summer Theatre are currently looking for local hosts to provide accommodation for cast and crew during the summer season (June-September). If you have a spare room, hosting is a simple and rewarding way to support the theatre – with guests typically out most of the day rehearsing and performing, and no meals required. In return, we offer £105 per week to help cover costs, along with the chance to be part of the theatre community and the buzz behind the scenes. Even one or two weeks hosting during the season would be hugely appreciated.

Sports Rehab and Wellness Talk
We are excited to host James Leathers (JL Physio) and Lucille Cowell (Registered Naturopath) at the Club on Wednesday 15th April, 6pm – 7pm, who will be bringing you a sports rehab and wellness talk. James will be discussing rehab and prevention strategies within sports & Lucille will be discussing Wellness and Diet. A Q&A will be available afterwards.
