Welcome to this week’s FOS|LTC Weekly News.
This week’s edition includes live music in the bar, Easter Sunday lunch, Sunday brunch, Easter tennis camps, the upcoming pickleball tournament, plans to introduce pétanque at the club, live sport in the bar, and an opportunity to become a host for Frinton Summer Theatre. Thursday 6pm social tennis also starts again this Thursday, with all levels welcome — the more people who attend, the greater the variety of pairs and matches we can organise.
We’re also excited to share that our new website will be launching in just a couple of weeks, making it easier to find club updates, book events, browse activities, and stay connected with everything happening at FOS|LTC.

Sports and Services
Pétanque Coming to FOS|LTC
You may have noticed an area marked out on the lawn near the swimming pool, where we are planning to introduce pétanque — a sport similar to, but definitely not the same as, bowls — and create two dedicated pistes.
If anyone has spare sleepers or suitable building materials to donate, we would be very grateful to hear from you. Please email enquiries@fosltc.com.
Easter Tennis Camps Now Open for Booking
Bookings are now open for our Easter Holiday Tennis Camps with NEETacademy on 31st March, 1st April, 7th April and 10th April.
Sessions will focus on technical development, movement, and game awareness, combining structured coaching with competitive play. Players will be grouped by age and standard where possible to ensure the right level of challenge.
The camps are suitable for both regular academy players and those simply looking to play more tennis during the holidays. Group sizes are kept small to maintain coaching quality, so places are limited.

Join Our Pickleball Tournament
Get ready for an action-packed day of pickleball on Sunday 19th April.
Whether you’re a seasoned player or just starting out, this tournament is designed for everyone — enjoy friendly competition, meet fellow players, and showcase your skills on court.
The sign-up fee is £10, which includes cake and a hot drink afterwards. There are 14 spaces available.

Tennis social sessions
Our Thursday night social tennis sessions are BACK next week! Join us from Thursday 2nd April, 6pm – 7.30pm, for an extra social session to add to your weekly hit. Session information is available on our Spond app, please follow the link HERE to get started. All welcome a range of standards. More the merrier, fun social doubles play. And a drink at the bar after.
Live Sport This Weekend on TNT Sports
A quieter weekend for football this week, but we’ll still be showing rugby and a range of live sport from around the world.
Football returns from Saturday 4th April with Manchester City vs Liverpool.

Become a Frinton Summer Theatre Host
Frinton Summer Theatre is currently looking for local hosts to provide accommodation for cast and crew during the summer season (June to September).
If you have a spare room, hosting is a simple and rewarding way to support the theatre, with guests typically out most of the day rehearsing and performing, and no meals required.
Hosts receive £105 per week to help cover costs, along with the opportunity to be part of the theatre community and enjoy the atmosphere behind the scenes. Even hosting for one or two weeks during the season would be greatly appreciated.

Live Music in the Bar – Tracey Moorhouse
We’re kicking off the Easter weekend with live music in the bar.
Join Tracey Moorhouse on Friday 3rd April, 7pm–10pm for an evening of music and dancing. No tickets needed — simply come along and enjoy the evening.

Sports Rehab and Wellness Talk at the Club
We are pleased to welcome James Leathers (JL Physio) and Lucille Cowell (Registered Naturopath) to the club on Wednesday 15th April, 6pm–7pm for a sports rehab and wellness talk.
James will discuss rehabilitation and injury prevention in sport, while Lucille will cover wellness and diet. A Q&A session will follow.
Entry is free for members and £5 for non-members.
