It has been another busy week at the Club, with the staff pulling out all the stops to keep things running smoothly and spirits high. The highlight was last Friday’s children’s party, which was a fantastic success. It was great to see the energy and hear so much laughter from so many children. Our next step is to bring that same enthusiasm onto the courts. A thriving junior scene is well within reach, and we will be working hard to make it happen.
Meanwhile, the Winter League is up and running, with matches already underway. Keep an eye on the website, results, rankings, and league tables will be published soon and updated weekly, so you can follow the action and see how the competition unfolds.
As we head deeper into the festive season, thank you for your continued enthusiasm, energy, and support. Only one more newsletter after this before Christmas, so let’s keep the momentum (and the mulled wine) flowing.
What’s happening at FOSLTC!
Junior Christmas Camp!
On Tuesday 23rd December NEET academy are hosting a Junior Tennis Christmas Camp! Aimed at ages 5-12years old, activities will include skills and games and will cover basic agility, balance and coordination with the main priority to have FUN!
To help you get into the holiday spirit, there will be a prize for the best Christmas jumper (or headwear)! You can book onto the camp HERE.
Tennis Xmas Poker Tournament
Don’t worry — the adults are included in the festive tennis fun too! Join us for a fun afternoon of timed doubles rounds with a progressive/mix-in format. After each round, winners earn a random playing card. When play ends, everyone uses their collected cards to make their best poker hand — and the strongest hand wins the tournament! Enjoy mulled wine, great tennis, and plenty of friendly competition.
Entry will be grouped by standard where relevant, or mixed via a progressive format depending on numbers. Saturday 20th December, 3–5pm

Squash Handicap Tournament
Join us on Monday 29th December for our Squash handicap tournament. Open to All Levels – Everyone Has a Chance to Win! Adjustable handicaps ensure fair and competitive matches. Entry is £3.00 for members and £5.00 for non-members.
Our winner receives is a £20.00 Voucher & the runner up a £10.00 Voucher to use with Racket Sports Services within the club! To enter, please follow the link HERE.

Christmas 2025
We’re already into the second week of our festive calendar and gosh we had a busy week last week! From private Christmas parties to wreath making and our annual kids disco! A big thankyou to everyone who booked and attended, we hope you enjoyed the event.
