Hello!
There’s plenty of social and sporting activity coming up over the next few weeks. It’s busy busy busy at the Club and we hope you’ll want to join us, particularly for the return of the amazing soul funk band ‘Don’t Freak Out!’ on Sunday 3rd August. It’s SUCH a fun night! More of that later…
Tonight is our School’s Out Summer Party and everyone’s invited. We’ve added an extra swimming slot at 5:30pm, which has already been fully booked, but feel free to pop your name on the waiting list in case a space opens up.
Even if you’re not swimming, there’s loads to enjoy: live music, bar offers, and Chef is staying open late at the Poolside Kitchen until 8:30pm. Perfect for supper and drinks with friends.
Come along, soak up the atmosphere, and help us kick off the summer in style! Talking of drinks… do you want to try some of our new wines we’ll be selling behind the bar? Friday 25th July is our canapés and wine tasting night. Sign up NOW! Booking details are HERE

The week will culminate in a special concert at the Club on Friday 1st August at 2pm. All welcome! Do make sure to mark your diaries and come along to enjoy what promises to be a heartwarming and joyful performance.
This year’s theme? Songs from Oliver! — expect toe-tapping tunes and lots of smiles.

Venue: 43 Second Avenue, Frinton, CO13 9ER

Sponsorship | Progress
A huge thank you to all our 2025 sponsors. Your support is making a real difference! We’re thrilled with the progress so far and hope the recent improvements, including our brand-new club signage (have you seen it yet?), are a sign of great things to come.
We’ve only got two Court 1 Fence sponsorship spots remaining. If you or someone you know might be interested, now’s the time to act!
There are still exciting sponsorship opportunities available at both Club and individual sport level. If you know a company or individual who’d like to get involved and support us, please get in touch: rebecca@fosltc.com

Colchester & District | Update
It’s been a busy week on court with five matches played. Two at home and three away!
- Monday: Our Mixed B team hosted Dedham A but sadly took an 8–1 loss.
- Tuesday: A great result for the Mixed C team who beat Kirby A at home, 6–3! (although the big question on everyone’s mind was how many of the butterfly cakes Bill managed to squirrel!)
- Wednesday: Ladies C team faced David Lloyd away. Unfortunately they lost 7-2 with only 2 pairs!
- Friday: Our Men’s A team take on The Essex away.
Looking ahead — next week there’ll be no home matchesas we host the County Week Tournament.
Check out all match results and upcoming fixtures here.

Wimbledon Whites Tennis Tournament | Results
Last Sunday, 21 of our members took to the courts for our Wimbledon Whites tournament and what a fantastic afternoon it was.
A big thank you to James from Neet Academy for running the event so smoothly, especially in the heat. Spirits were high, the tennis was competitive (and very stylish), and plenty of fun was had by all. And a big thankyou to David Hall from Racket Sport Services for sponsoring the balls for the tournament, and Ruth & Trevor Burnett for donating the winning prizes.
Congratulations to Jasper and Jane, our tournament winners, and to Annette and Henry, who finished as worthy runners-up.
Same time next year? We think so.
