Hello!

With some of our Christmas Parties having already taken place with a range of events to come, the Club is buzzing! It’s a busy time of year and we hope you’ll be able to pop down and visit for some festive cheer! We’re holding our Festive Roast Sunday Lunch this Sunday. We’re fully booked but sometimes we have a few last minute drop outs – so do feel free to get in touch with Georgia for any last minute availability email georgia@fosltc.com or pop into the office. 

Christmas Raffle 

Who doesn’t love a good raffle? You could win some amazing prizes including our social membership, a handy gift for a friend or relative who’s not a Club member yet! Some super bottles of spirits or even a £100 cash prize. All you need to do is to buy a strip of tickets or two. Don’t miss this opportunity and buy your raffle tickets today. You never know, you might be the lucky winner and it’s only £5 per strip. Or £25 for six strips. Raffle tickets can be purchased from the bar. And we’ll be making the draw on the 23rd (and don’t worry if you can’t be there in person as we’ll keep your prizes for you should you win). It’s all for a good cause, all proceeds go to our Club. 

Club Sweaters 

We’ve nearly got enough orders to get the first batch underway. It’s a bespoke design in our Club’s colours. They are manufactured by one of the country’s leading companies from 100% natural wool. They’re soft, breathable and durable. Our sweaters come in a variety of sizes, so you can find the perfect one for you. The sooner you order, the sooner we can get weaving! Christmas Carols with Caryll & Canapés | Saturday 23rd December

Carols with Caryll is back! Once again, it’s going to be a busy evening with many of you already signed up. We’re hosting a night of carol singing to celebrate the festive season with all your favourites. You don’t need to be a pro, just bring your enthusiasm and your voice. Canapés and drinks will be served in the bar afterwards. It’s a free event and everyone is welcome! Please register your interest with Georgia so we can cater for you. No one wants to turn up to an event with canapés, if there aren’t enough canapés!  Email Georgia@fosltc.com

Last Call | Family Christmas Disco | Thursday 21st December 

Celebrate the season with your little ones at the Club’s family Christmas Disco. Kids’ buffet, drinks, crackers and maybe even a visit from the big red man himself with a small gift for the children to take home. It’s £10 for members and £12.50 for non-members and (responsible) accompanying adults join in free! Book HERE, you have until Sunday 17th Dec!

New Year’s Eve Party

Finding something fun to do for New Year’s Eve can be a bit of a bother! And who wants to have to cook, cater and clear up the mess to put on a party? Well, we do! And we hope you’ll really enjoy what we have planned. Our resident DJ will be spinning the wheels of steel, Chef and his team will be serving up a spectacular buffet and all we need now is YOU! It’s £25pp for dancing and drinks (one buy one get one free drink per ticket) and £55pp for dinner, dancing and drinks. This will be the best way to say goodbye to 2023 and hello to 2024. Squash Tournament | Friday 29th December | Everyone Welcome! 

Whether you are a pro, a fitness buff, even a tennis player! This will be a great day of having fun and playing some competitive Squash!

Racketball Tournament | The Results

Such fun to see our Women’s Christmas Fun Handicap Racketball Competition enjoyed by six of our lovely ladies who regularly attend our Monday afternoon sessions. Sue Vine was the winner (but we disqualified her as she’s a professional!) and awarded the title to Clare Cowley with a total of 62 points! The afternoon rounded off with a glass of Prosecco in the bar! We look forward to re-starting the Sessions in the New Year – the first one on Monday, 8th January at 2pm – new players are always welcome!

Christmas Pilates | Extra Classes 

Over indulged? Want to offset some of the party madness or just want to stay fit? Whatever the reason, are you looking for a fun way to stay fit this holiday season?
