Hello!

Another amazing weather week ahead in Frinton-on-Sea. And when the sun shines, our Club really is at its best! We very much hope you’ll be down to enjoy some sporting or social activities. At this time of year when things are busy it is vital that you pre-book courts, children’s swimming slots or classes. Please do bring your Membership Card with you as we’ll be making random checks and only providing bar discounts with your cards.

Thatched Roof Fundraising
A big thank you to those who have already donated to our fundraising efforts. We are making good progress and we will update you soon with the latest numbers and targets. We’re working on a Blue Peter style totaliser to keep us all updated on the progress!

Please do donate if you can. We really need to get to our target. All donations will be welcome and very much appreciated. You can make a donation HERE.

And please don’t forget to get involved with EasyFundraising – the way you can raise money for our Club at NO cost to you!

And please do make sure you mark Saturday 1st October in your diary for our fundraising auction, dinner and music night!

Tournament
This week sees our final grass court tournament of the season, The Junior Open. It runs from Monday 8th August until Saturday 13th. We hope it will be a fun week and provide you with an opportunity to watch some great tennis and to see our Club once again busy and active!

The Poolside Kitchen will be open every day from noon until 6pm with some tasty specials on offer too.

There will be limited courts available but please do book as we will reserve courts for Members during the week and we’ll do what we can to make sure you can get on court.

Merch and Shop
If you’d like to order clothing from our new range – you can do so HERE and orders over £50 will have free postage and you can apply your Member’s discount. For other items, David is now stocking some of our best sellers in his shop for the “now’ purchases required!

And we still have some beach towels and sporting towels available and our Club Mugs are fab! They’re available from the office.

Sports
Of course we have a wide range of activities available to you. Please see all the details of classes, sports and opportunities online HERE and don’t forget that we aren’t just about the tennis! There’s croquet including our Club Sessions, there’s squash and racketball, walking football, our gym and the classes too. Plus adults can swim in the pool every day (not Mondays) for unsupervised swimming.

Bar
Despite the pressure on costs, we’re keeping a lid on our prices. With our 20% Members’ discount – we have some of the most competitive prices around. Why not pop in for a nice refreshing non-alcoholic drink or try one of the wide range of alcoholic drinks, mixers or cocktails available?

Karaoke
Yes, by popular demand this evening of singing and merriment is making a return. On Friday 26th August! It will certainly be an entertaining way to see in the Bank Holiday weekend!

Goodbye!
And it’s goodbye to Glenys. She’s been a wonderful addition to our team having got our events back up and running. We wish her every success in her new role that is perhaps a little less stressful! But we’re very thankful for all the hard work and amazing organisation that’s gone into getting us back on our feet. Thank you!
