Hello!

It has been a busy week. You will have seen our communications in regard to the Membership Subscription rates for 2023/24. Whilst we recognise a rise is never welcome, we hope that with the incentives for existing Members and those of you who pay upfront that they’ll meet with your approval. In particular the changes to the Junior Membership category which sees the abolition of 13 classes of membership reduced to just one. Junior Membership for the Under 16’s. From 1st April that will be £84. Please do spread the word. We encourage you to propose new Members – after all the best form of marketing is personal recommendation! For details of the announcement made and all the subs and incentives for the forthcoming year, take a look HERE.

Thatched Roof

The scaffolding around the front of the building was taken down on Wednesday. You can see the progress made so far and our roof looks wonderful! Once again, a huge thank you to everyone who contributed to make this happen. Please come down to see the progress for yourself! The works continue and we’ll be announcing a suitable way in which to celebrate this milestone refurbishment in due course. I hope you’ll agree this work enhances our Club and, perhaps, makes us realise how fortunate we are to have such a charming clubhouse. Not only for ourselves but now, for generations to come.

Booking Courts

We know that as we become busier, there’s a chance that the Club may not have availability to accommodate you or your group. That’s why we encourage everyone to book their courts and activities to ensure you’re able to play, participate or take a class when you like. We also have committees who deal with Membership issues that arise from time to time. For tennis it’s Bill Greeno, Squash it’s Gavin Downing and Jack Bruce, Walking Football it’s John Kilby and Paul Cooper and croquet Ann Evander and Richard Everett and for the gym it’s Mark Wylie. Do get in touch with the office for their contact details if you don’t have them. They’ll happily look after any queries you may have.

That’s it from me. Have a great week!
