Hello!

Before we get stuck into the business of the week, how about joining us for Roast Sunday Lunch at the Club? This Sunday we have Roast Beef, or Roast Pork or a Butternut Squash and Spinach Wellington on the menu. Of course the roast will be served with a generous serving of fresh and roasted vegetables and there’s pud too! We hope you’ll think about joining us – please book ASAP! Chef’s Sunday lunches are absolutely delicious!

Next weekend we have a gourmet steak night planned for Friday and another Sunday roast lunch on the 22nd, this time with Roast Lamb or Roast Chicken and again a veggie option available. Plus an array of delicious puds or cheese.

All the details are on the website and you can book online or just call the office. Why bother to do the cooking and washing up when you can pop down to the Club instead?

Christmas Trees
I am delighted to let you know that the King of Soho Gin have generously donated funds to sponsor our Christmas Trees for this year. Their founder and CEO, Alex Robson has also offered to supply some gin for our Carols with Carryl, on Christmas Eve at the Club. She’s keen for us to try their Variorum Gin. I have and it’s sublime! Anyway, the event will be free to attend, we’ll have some special Christmas offers at the bar (and maybe a few freebie cocktails thrown in!). Chef will be providing some substantial canapés, we’ll have a super festive singalong too! And some wonderful gin to whet the whistle as we head into the festive day itself. What could be better? All we ask is that you register your interest so we can gauge numbers for the evening.

Just in time for Steak Night, Sunday Lunch and the Festive Period, we have added a Bordeaux to our wine selection – Chateau Robin Lussac St Emilion – 75% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc – This well balanced wine has ripe fruit aromas and balanced tannins – Now softening well. And tasting delicious!

Right… we need to get back to the other things going on at the Club!

Singing
This Saturday we welcome back the Jupiter Singers. By all means get involved – it’s a wonderful and uplifting event with a contemporary and fun repertoire too! Or perhaps just pop down to the Club to have a listen to their rehearsal. It’s an amazing feast for your ears! More details can be found < here >

Jazz
The Frinton Jazz Club returns to the Club before and after Christmas… these gigs sell out fast – so if you’d like to come along? Please do get in touch with them directly to book your tickets.

Tennis
We have a whole range of tennis activity underway. From the Winter Box League to Club Tennis and coaching by Pete and his team from the Neet Academy. I’ve said before but I’ll say again… it’s well worth dusting off that racket and taking a few lessons to sharpen yourself back into shape!

Meanwhile we have a tournament on the way…

Squash
Vickie Prow and her team have been busy revitalising our squash offer to adults and juniors alike. All the details are on the website.

Other Sports
Of course croquet, walking football and our amazing gym classes and fitness offer continues. It’s all here for you so please do get involved and continue to spread the word!

Christmas and New Year
We’re very encouraged to see that bookings have really picked up for our Christmas Party Nights, Members’ Festive Lunch and for our Black Tie, New Year’s Eve dinner too. With some nights having sold out and others getting very busy, book your spaces now to avoid disappointment! After all we are in November and we’re not so far away!
